September 22 is World CML Day
September 22 — a date that symbolizes the switch between chromosomes 9 and 22 that causes CML — is a day that the CML community around the world join together to celebrate life-saving therapies, but also to remember those we have lost. While many people who live with CML can expect a normal life expectancy because of effective TKI treatments, there are many more who aren\’t as lucky. Today, just like any other, we remember the importance of a good quality of life, medication that works and access to the treatments we need to stay alive.
After all, this is what we all deserve.
